What is BOSS?

BOSS helps Advisors manage cases, view case details, and securely upload photographs of required documents (e.g., passport, driving licence, and other labelled images) directly to our case management system.

Getting started

  1. Install the app from the Apple App Store or Android Play Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Sign in with Microsoft 365: tap Sign in and follow the on-screen prompts. You’ll be redirected to Microsoft and briefly see “Signing in…” while we verify your account.
  3. Permissions: when prompted, allow Camera and Photo Library access so you can capture and upload document images for your cases.

Who can use BOSS?
Access is limited to authorised 55Plus users with an active Microsoft 365 account and a provisioned profile.

Requirements

  • Device: Mobile or Tablet
  • iOS: 14.0 or later (as configured in our iOS build settings)
  • Account: Microsoft 365 account provided by 55Plus

Features at a glance

  • Secure SSO sign-in with Microsoft 365.
  • Case list & details for your assigned work.
  • Document capture & upload (Passport, Driving licence, and additional labelled photos) with “Retake” options.

Troubleshooting

I’m stuck on “Signing in…”

  • Ensure you’ve completed Microsoft sign-in and any MFA prompts.
  • Check network connectivity (mobile data or Wi-Fi).
  • Force-quit and re-open the app, then try again.

“Your SharePoint site is not configured.”

  • This means your user profile doesn’t have a SharePoint drive configured. Please contact your administrator to enable SharePoint for your account. After they’ve updated your profile, sign out and back in.

I can’t see my cases.

  • You must be signed in and assigned to cases. Sign out/in and pull to refresh. If nothing appears, ask your manager to confirm assignment in the back-office system.

Photo upload failed.

  • Confirm Camera/Photos permission is granted in iOS Settings ▸ BOSS.
  • Try again on a stable connection.
  • If the issue persists, capture a screenshot and send it to admin@55plus.co.uk with the case ID and time of the attempt.
  •
